This is known as "futures book" or "future book" betting. As an illustration, let's look at Super Bowl futures. Sports books list each NFL team with corresponding odds to win the Super Bowl. For example, the Ravens may be 5-1, the Redskins 12-1, the Cardinals 100-1, etc. It does not matter whether your team covers the point spread in the Super Bowl. For the purposes of future book betting, the team has to win only the Super Bowl. When you make a futures bet, your odds are "locked in.

Futures betting also is offered on the major events in horse racing, such as the Kentucky Derby and Breeders' Cup. In horse racing futures, if your horse does not start the race due to injury or any other reason, you lose the bet -- there are no refunds.Robin, United States Iceland Complete, July 2014 We wanted to tour Iceland on our own, but knew nothing about where to stay, what to see or how long it might take to drive ourselves from place to place.

A year ago, we had used Nordic to book a trip to Iceland. We enjoyed our travels in the country so much and had such an outstanding experience with Nordic that we used them again this year to book a trip to visit part of the country that we didn't see last year. We're already thinking of a return trip for next year--and will, of course, use Nordic again. We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed our guide's knowledge and expertise.

Brian was extremely informative, patient, and entertaining. He was very considerate of the fact that we were 2 active but older women.

He was also very kind to other travellers who realized he was a guide and would stop him to ask advice. Although this was to be my only trip to Scotland, thanks to his influence and fascinating instruction on the Highlands and Highlanders, I know I need to see more.

I would let Nordic Visitor give more advice on the tour must sees. We met with the Edinburgh office staff - Maria, Anna, and Kris - after our tour was done, again Brian going above and beyond to bring us to meet them, days after our tour was over. I cannot say enough good things about all the help they gave us. Even though we did not have the opportunity to meet with Helga in person we felt extremely well looked after by all her hard work and planning before and during the trip, and would completely recommend her and the Nordic Visitor team, you are all wonderful.

We would have loved to drop by the office to tell you in person how much fun we were having but we squeezed in extra activities so didn't end up having time to do so. We had asked for a tailored trip which was a day longer than the tour on the website, and Helga organised this effortlessly. We also requested a combination of comfort and superior rooms and again she organised this with no trouble.

The comfort rooms were pretty nice to stay in, occasionally having hot-tubs outside and always delicious food at their restaurants. The superior rooms we stayed at were incredibly memorable and really completed our honeymoon experience.

It was the most fantastic honeymoon we could have imagined, thank you so much for organising it for us. We travelled as a family of two adults and one child and organised our combined tours 'Tale of Four cities' Scandinavian capitals and 'Iceland Full Circle' from afar totally online.

The online experience went extremely smoothly. Our consultant, Sirry, was very helpful and responsive. She communicated well and with his prior to our arrival and when we arrived at our first destination everything was well arranged and ran very smoothly - the transfers, the hotels, the ferries, the car hire. The comprehensive package of maps, brochures and information books provided was a fabulous resource. GPS was included in our hire cars and this was essential. We also had access to a mobile phone that was provided and this was very comforting in case there were any problems.

We did not use it as there were no issues that needed resolution during our combined tours. As a family of three we had an absolutely fantastic time travelling through Scandinavia and Iceland. Our experience was greatly influenced by the service and organisation of Nordic Visitor.

I will highly recommend your services to anyone that I know who wishes to visit the Nordic region. The customer service was excellent.

The tour was excellent, we loved that it progressively got better each day. Meals (breakfasts at the hotel) were excellent.

AMAZING JOB ARRANGING THIS TOUR.

This was a trip we dreamed about for quite a while.Pauli - Duisburg 1. FacebookYouTubeTwitterPinterestKnowing which type of bet to make is important for players who want to hodl their own at the roulette table.

Each table will carry a placard describing the minimum and maximum bets at the table. For example, it might read, "Roulette.

Though the listed minimums for inside and outside bets are likely to be the same, they don't mean the same thing. The player may make any of the bets by placing a chip or chips on the appropriate spot. However, the size of the table may make it difficult to reach some betting areas. To place a bet you can't reach, put the chips on the table and ask the dealer to put them on the desired bet for you.

If you aren't sure how to make outside or inside bets, check the information below. Red or black: There are 18 numbers with red backgrounds and 18 with black backgrounds. A winning red or black bet pays even money -- the player keeps the original bet and gets an equal amount in winnings. Odd or even: Another even-money bet. The player is betting that either one of the 18 odd numbers (1, 3, 5, and so forth) or one of the 18 even numbers (2, 4, 6, and so forth) will be chosen.

The house gets its edge from 0 and 00 -- they are neither red nor black, neither odd nor even, neither part of the first 18 nor the last 18. If the ball lands on 0 or 00, all even-money bets -- in fact, all outside bets -- lose. In casinos offering a French wheel with the en prison rule, the player does not lose an even money bet when the 0 comes up. Instead, the bet is "in prison" -- the player does not lose the wager, but it remains in effect for the next spin.

If the bet wins on the next spin, it is released, and the player may pull it back. The bet may not remain in prison on consecutive spins -- a second consecutive 0 makes the bet a loser.

This is a very favorable rule for the player, and one that is rare in the United States. Columns: Wagers on any of the three columns on the grid pay 2-1.

Because the grid is arranged in 12 rows of three consecutive numbers (1-2-3 is the first row, 4-5-6 the second, and so on), each number in a column is three higher than the one before.

Single number: Bets on individual numbers, including 0 and 00, are placed by putting a chip or chips fully inside a numbered box. If a single-number bet hits, it pays 35-1. Make a split bet by placing a chip so that it straddles the line between two numbers. Street: A three-number bet, paying 11-1, is made by placing a chip on the line separating outside bets from the inside, indicating a row of three consecutive numbers.

Corner: A chip is placed at the intersection of a horizontal line with a vertical line inside the layout. This indicates a bet on the four adjacent numbers, and it pays 8-1. Five-number: For the worst bet on the table, place a chip so that it lies on the line separating the inside from the outside, while straddling the horizontal line between 0-00 and 1-2-3.

This bet pays 6-1 and carries a 7. The five-number bet does not exist on the French wheel because of the absence of 00. Double street: Just as on the street bet, place a chip on the line separating the outside from the inside, but let it straddle the horizontal line between two rows. That gives you six numbers in two consecutive three-number rows, and the bet pays 5-1.

Special note: Watch for your payoffs. On winning inside bets, most dealers will push the winnings to you but leave the original bet in place. After the dealer has finished payoffs and is ready for the next round of bets, it is up to you to move the original bet if you do not want to make the same wager.
